GOTS Speaks at TE – 2014 Textile Sustainability Conference - Portland, OR

GOTS Managing Director Herbert Ladwig, Technical Director Marcus Brügel, Marketing Director Claudia Kersten and Representative for North America Sandra Marquardt will be attending the Textile Exchange 2014 Textile Sustainability Conference which will be held on November 10-12, 2014 in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Marcus Brügel and Claudia Kersten will both be speakers during a session about the topic ‘Understanding Certification’ on Monday, Nov. 10 at 10:45 am. Claudia Kersten will also be on a panel in the session ‘Evaluating the impact on Textile Processing’ on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9:30 am.

GOTS Speaks at Texworld USA

GOTS Representative in North America Sandra Marquardt presented about GOTS at a well-attended Texworld seminar in New York City on July 22 addressing "The What, Where and How of Garment Production". Other organizations on the panel included OecoTex, Textile Exchange, and WRAP.

Dalian Design Festival in China

The Dalian Design Festival is hosted by the Dalian Municipal and co-organized by China Industrial Design Association and Dragon Design Foundation. Since 2008, the annual event has been an important event in the design industry aiming to improve industrial development, to promote product design upgrade and to exchange talents and ideas.

From June 27^th – 28^th, Shirley Hon, GOTS China Representative was invited to the 6^th Dalian Design Forum as a key speaker at the Garment Design Sub-forum to introduce the concept of ‘sustainable design” and brought up GOTS standard as the most stringent organic textile standard in the world, to Chinese designers, designer students and establish dialogs with Chinese garment companies and media.

GOTS at World Green Design Forum Yang Zhou Summit

The two-day World Green Forum Yangzhou Summit has dropped the curtain on June 12th, 2014. More than 700 guests including world-class designers, international dignitaries and innovative entrepreneurs from 27 countries and regions worldwide gathered together to discuss “green economy”. Li zhaoxing, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of China Public Diplomacy Association, delivered an inspiring opening speech. The international dignitaries addressed profound analysis at macro polices on green design at the main forum.

Shirley Hon, GOTS China Representative was invited as the sole speaker on sustainable standard to the forum and gave a speech at the sub-forum: Green Textile, to introduce GOTS standard as the most stringent organic textile standard in the world, to Chinese designers, companies and media.

GOTS Supports Biofach India for Third Year in a Row

 

For the third year in a row, GOTS will be a supporter of the annual exhibition Biofach India together with India Organic 2014, which is going to be held on November 6-8 at the ADLUX International Convention Centre in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. GOTS remains pledged to increasing awareness about certified organic textiles and educating about the concerns regarding conventional textile processing. GOTS at Plitzs New York Fashion Week in China

GOTS at Plitzs New York  Fashion Week in China - Invited by Zuhal Kuvan-Mills,designer and creator of GREEN EMBASSY, a fully certified Australian designer brand, GOTS China Representative  Shirley Han will be attending Plitzs New York  Fashion Week in Beijing from June 17th to 19th.
