GOTS Bangladesh Seminar 2019 (GBDS19) shall be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 8th September 2019.

The theme of this year´s seminar is ‘Connecting for Success’. GOTS Bangladesh Seminar 2019 serves to bring together the key players. Speakers shall include representatives from brands, exporters, certifiers, chemical industry, and other significant stakeholders.

In 2018, Bangladesh reached second position (after India) in terms of GOTS certified facilities in the country. This growth trend showcases the commitment of the Bangladeshi textile industry to not only use organic fibres, but also to environmental and social compliances. Fire and Building Safety are included in GOTS criteria and the country has made significant progress in all these areas.

To sustain this growth, it is important that the industry is strongly connected with other stakeholders in the organic textile value chain. While connections within the country are important; active engagement with international stakeholders including suppliers and buyers are vital to the success of the industry.

Kindly fill in the Online Registration Form for participation. We invite you to Register Now for the seminar to avoid last minute rush. ‘The RMG Times’, Bangladesh is the local organising partner for this event. They are responsible for the registration and collection of registration fee. Post submission of the Online Registration Form,  a confirmation email will be sent with available payment options.

To enhance diversity, participation is limited to two persons per company. We are expecting 250-300 senior colleagues from up to 150 different businesses/organisations from the industry.

The Seminar Agenda includes sessions on brands’ perspective, market updates, technical compliance, risk assessment and so on. Speakers from Bangladesh and other countries share their experiences in the field of sustainable textiles. For speaking opportunities, please contact the Seminar Coordinator Sumit Gupta.

Given the great response from participants in the previous event, the event was moved to a bigger venue this time. The seminar will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhra (ICCB), Dhaka. Located in a well-connected area with ample parking space. At the end of the seminar, a shuttle bus will be available to bring the participants to Kuril, which has better connectivity to public transport.

The seminar provides a great opportunity to showcase your brand to the sustainable textile community. Limited slots in different categories are available.
